Estate Account

An account opened by executor to administer the assets for a deceased member.

Account Features

• Upon receipt of an original “Funeral Director Declaration” or a government “Death Certificate”, we are authorized to freeze the deceased’s account
• Depending on nature of the account, letters of probate or administration may be required
• Upon receipt of required documents the executor may request an Estate Account be established
• SunRise Credit Union can pay funeral expenses (invoice) of deceased if authorized by executor from proceeds available in the decease’s account

Interest

• Not an interest bearing account

• No monthly maintenance fee
• Maximum as per service charge schedule per Product Type
