Brad Magnusson
CEO of Magnusson Consulting Group

After graduating from the University of Manitoba, Brad has spent the last 28+ years working with agricultural businesses to solve their financial banking needs. Brad has held senior positions with multi-national financial institutions, government lending institutions and the credit union system.

Brad recently retired as the Manager of Business Consulting Services with Credit Union Central of Manitoba.

Brad now is the CEO of Magnusson Consulting Services which is focused on International and National commodity markets, Agricultural Policy, interest rate strategies, business strategies, and agricultural financial management.

Brad has spoken at over 500 public and in-house seminars and conferences on commodity markets including the American Bankers Conference and has travelled over 1.5 million miles in the last 5 years.

Dr. Frayne Olson
Crop Economist/Marketing Specialist

Dr. Frayne Olson is the Crop Economist/Marketing Specialist with the North Dakota State University Extension Service. He conducts educational programs and research in evaluating crop marketing strategies, crop outlook and prices, and the economics of crop contracting. He also does joint work in risk management, agribusiness management and farm management.

Frayne earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Agricultural Economics from NDSU and his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri. From 1987 until 2003, Frayne worked in the farm management and agribusiness management areas at NDSU during the winter months and farmed in Eastern North Dakota during the summer months.

In 2003, Frayne chose to pursue a PhD and transferred the farming operation to his brother. After graduating from the University of Missouri in 2006, he worked at Iowa State University for two years teaching a junior level farm management class and conducting agribusiness training programs before returning to NDSU in the fall of 2008.
