Other Investment Options
GICs
A GIC will ensure your money is safe and is earning a reasonable rate of return. All deposits and interest are 100% guaranteed without limit through the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation.
RRIF
When the time is right and you are ready to retire, you may wish to consider rolling your RRSP into a Registered Retirement Income Fund which will result in a regular income flow for you.
Tax Free Savings
Choosing to shelter a portion of your investments in a TFSA gives you added flexibility while continuing to grow your assets. Investment income earned in the account is not taxed, however you don’t get the same benefit of the tax deduction for the principal deposit. TFSAs keep you in control for short AND long-term needs.
RESP
A Registered Education Savings Plan provides for the future post-secondary education of a beneficiary. Sunrise Credit Union uses a third party provider for this product.
