2014 Annual General Meeting

(April 21st, 2015) Baldur, Manitoba – Sunrise Credit Union held its 7th Annual General Meeting in Baldur, MB last night with 114 members present.

The 2014 Annual Report was released outlining Sunrise Credit Union’s financials and how it plays a part in making our communities better, stronger and more vibrant.

President and CEO, Harry Bowler reported the financial highlights for 2014 which included a Deposit Growth of 3.00%, Loan Growth of 5.63%, Income of $2,993,192, Member Equity totals of $55,422,195% and Total Assets of $821,846,998.

Community impact highlights for 2014 included the efforts of Sunrise Credit Union staff fundraising over $34,000, volunteering over 7500 hours of their personal time and corporate contributions in excess of $190,000 towards helping our communities and community organizations deliver services that benefit our members.

Four Directors, Evan Casselman, Glenn Young, Don Zeghers and Terry Wakely were re-elected by acclimation to their positions on the Board of Directors and the Articles of the Credit Union were amended to change the location for the registered office from Treherne, Manitoba to Brandon, Manitoba.

Sixteen staff members from Baldur, Brandon, Boissevain, Cypress River, Deloraine, Hartney, Reston and Virden were recognized for their service and dedication to the Credit Union System through the presentation of service awards.
