For years, Credit Unions serving Southwestern Manitoba have collaborated together on projects aligned with cooperative principles that benefit members and communities.
These Credit Unions have included any or all of the following: Austin, Amaranth, Beautiful Plains, Catalyst, Crocus, Erickson, Minnedosa, Portage, Strathclair, Sunrise, Vanguard and Westoba Credit Unions.

Manitoba Ag Ex
Manitoba Ag Ex highlights the cattle breeders’ hard work and dedication to Canada’s important agricultural economy. Formerly known as Manitoba Livestock Expo, the newly branded Manitoba Ag Ex is an annual four-day event that takes place within the Keystone Centre. This event aims to provide a venue to feature and market Manitoba’s best purebred cattle.
Manitoba Ag Days
The Manitoba Ag Days show is an exposition of agricultural production expertise, technology, and equipment that attracts exhibitors and visitors from across Canada and North Central United States.
Royal Manitoba Winter Fair
The RMWF is one of Western Canada’s largest agricultural events where people see show jumping and heavy horse competitions, livestock sales and displays, hands-on agricultural awareness programs, live entertainers, over 300 commercial and agricultural exhibits and more. Year after year, around 110,000 people attend the weeklong RMWF. Under the banner of the ‘Credit Unions of Southwestern Manitoba’, the WMG will be bringing the 2nd Annual Credit Union Family Day to the fair on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016.
Manitoba Women’s Institute
Manitoba Women’s Institute is an organization that focuses on personal development, family, agriculture, rural development and Community action…locally and globally.
Manitoba High School Rodeo Association
The province of Manitoba began hosting High School rodeos in 1995. There are events for everyone including team roping, goat tying, saddle bronc, bull riding, etc…
On Sunday, July 31st, 2016, over 500 volunteers from 100 communities across Canada will harvest a 75 acre wheat field with 125 antique threshing machines. Powered by steam engines and gas tractors built prior to 1950, the event will celebrate Canada’s contributions to feeding the world! Attracting 15,000 people from across North America over four days (three days of warm-up activities, record setting event on fourth day), Harvesting Hope will take place in conjunction with the 62nd Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede on the grounds of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum near Austin, Manitoba. Proceeds from the event will assist the Canadian Foodgrains Bank’s efforts to end global hunger and the Manitoba Agricultural Museum’s efforts to improve its visitor experience.
