Sunrise Credit Union is committed to the safety of our members and our staff during the current health crisis.
Beginning Thursday, March 26, Sunrise Credit Union will be implementing a new process for serving our members.
The doors to our branches will be locked, and members will be screened at the door before entering the branch. Branches will take appropriate precautions to ensure the number of members in the branch at any time can maintain proper social distancing practices. To avoid having anyone waiting in line, one member per front-line employee would be a good rule of thumb.
If a member has:
- Returned from any travel within the past 14 days (International or within Canada).
- Been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- Been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough or difficult breathing)
They will not be allowed to enter the branch. Instead, they will be offered the opportunity to use an alternative banking method.
It will be strongly recommended to all members coming to the branch to use alternative methods of banking in the future, if possible. Those alternate methods include online banking, banking through Sunrise Credit Union’s mobile app or phone banking.
We are actively encouraging members to contact their local branch to make an appointment to visit the branch if they require in-person service. When an appointment is made, staff will screen the members in the same manner they would if they were coming to the branch in-person.
During the appointment booking, staff can also request the member to email relevant documents or information for the purpose of their visit (preferred). If unable to email documents or information, members should ensure they bring all relevant documents or information with them for their appointment. This practice will reduce the flow of traffic to the branch and reduce the amount of time the member will have to be in the branch.
Members allowed in-branch service are required to follow Manitoba Health guidelines, including:
- Limit visit to 10 minutes or less.
- Maintaining at least a two-metre space (six feet) between themselves and others.
- Avoid touching their face (mouth, nose or eyes).
- Avoid greetings that involve touching, such as handshakes.
- Cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, or cough/sneeze into their sleeve.
Sunrise Credit Union staff will continue to be diligent in their sanitizing processes, including washing their hands frequently and wiping down surfaces.
