Message from our President and CEO

My name is Tim Klassen, and I'm proud to be the CEO of Sunrise Credit Union, a cooperative financial institution representing 20 branches and over 30,000 members across Southwest Manitoba.

With Christmas and the holiday season upon us, I want to take a moment to say thank you for your continued support and trust in Sunrise. It has been remarkable how our members and communities have come together to support each other during these challenging times. Our primary focus continues to be the health and wellbeing of our staff, our members and communities.

We commend our team for upholding high safety standards and we thank you for supporting the protocols of social distancing, sanitizing and wearing masks. These actions allow us to remain open while keeping our team and members safe.

To our local businesses, we want to make it abundantly clear that we understand the challenges you're facing. And please know, we're here to support you in any way possible.

With many local companies being closed and having limitations on their services, supporting those local entrepreneurs is critical, especially as we go into the holiday season. Only by working together and supporting each other can we make it through this.

2020 has seen some bright spots for Sunrise. We welcomed a Minnedosa Credit Union to the family on July 1st, continued supporting local nonprofits with initiatives like helping people of Sunrise and keep growing our profile is one of the provinces outstanding credit unions.
