Oakburn Branch
Oakburn is approximately 120 kilometres northwest of Brandon and is in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead.

Oakburn began in 1906 when the Canadian National Railway was built. Though named for Scottish settlers, the area boasts a robust Ukrainian heritage with many historical sites still well preserved.

Among the dozen Manitoba Historical sites in Oakburn are the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church and St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The Rossburn Subdivision of The Great Trail passes through the community.

Strathclair Credit Union Society Ltd. was incorporated in 1944 and included branches in Strathclair, Shoal Lake and Oakburn. It merged with Sunrise Credit Union on January 1, 2019.
